Barcelona Skate Spots: A Walkable One-Day Route

A one-day Barcelona skate route ordered by map, not by ranking. 22 spots from Sants station to Paral·lel, roughly 8 km, plus the detours it skips.
We have 254 spots mapped in Barcelona and 237 of them carry photos. This route uses 22, arranged in the order the coordinates put them: Plaça dels Països Catalans at Sants station in the morning, Avinguda del Paral·lel after dark. Around 8 km of straight-line distance across the whole day, which is nearer 10 on foot once the Gothic Quarter stops sending streets where you want to go.
Every distance below is measured between the actual spot coordinates. That is the only thing this guide claims to do better than the other Barcelona lists: the order is right, so you are never walking a leg twice.
Morning: Sants, and 500 m of warm-up
Start at Sants, because if you flew in you probably passed through it. It carries 100 photos, the joint-highest count in the Barcelona data. It is also the only spot on this route that doubles as a place to leave a bag.
From there it is 190 m east to Mallorca & Tarragona Ledges on Carrer de Tarragona, then 300 m more to Joan Miro at number 76 of the same street. Three spots inside half a kilometre. Skate them tired-legged and early; the rest of the day is longer walks.
Optional detour: Escola Barrufet and Rambla del Brasil sit 660 m and 1 km west of Sants respectively, with 14 and 16 photos between them. Parc de l'Espanya Industrial is right behind the station. All three are in the wrong direction for this route. If you have two days, they are a Sants morning on their own.
Late morning: across Eixample Esquerra, 1.9 km
This is the dullest leg and there is no way to dress it up. One kilometre from Joan Miro northeast through the Eixample grid to Plaça Enriqueta Gallinat on Comte d'Urgell, with nothing mapped in between. The grid is relentlessly regular and the crossings are long. Enriqueta Gallinat has 38 photos, which is a lot for a spot most visitor guides never mention.
From there, 330 m to Fujitsu Stairs on Carrer d'Aragó, then 530 m to Universitat, 64 photos, and the point where the day starts properly. Tactic on Enric Granados is a block off that leg; going via the shop costs you about 150 m.
Optional detour: Escola del Treball and Metal Curbs, Wallrides and Bank are 680 m and 1 km north of Enriqueta Gallinat, up around Carrer de París and Comte d'Urgell. Fitting both in costs you the better part of an hour for 14 photos' worth of spot. Your call.
Midday: Raval, 400 m total
Four hundred metres. That is the whole leg.
Universitat to Plaza de Castella is 120 m. Castella to Auditori Bank on Carrer de Montalegre is another 120 m. Auditori to Macba is 180 m.
Macba is the reason people fly here, and it has the photo count to match. Whether it is worth the crowd on the day you turn up is not something a dataset can tell you. If it is unskateable, you are 180 m from a bank and 280 m from a plaza.
The shops cluster here too, which is not an accident. Collective on Valldonzella, Rufus and Hey Ho a block apart on Ferlandina, FTC Barcelona on Carme. Barcelona has 24 shops mapped and a good share of them are inside this one neighbourhood. Buy a board here if you are going to break one.
Early afternoon: the Gothic Quarter, 1.2 km
From Macba it is 470 m east to Plaça Catalunya, then a chain of short hops south through the old city: 320 m to Plaza de Carles Pi i Sunyer, 150 m to Plaza Nova, 270 m to Plaza de l'Angel, 250 m to El Born 6 Stair.
Be honest with yourself about this leg. Every spot in it has a single-digit photo count, which usually means short sessions rather than bad spots. The streets are narrow, the ground is tourist-thick from about eleven onwards, and pushing between them takes longer than the metres suggest. Treat it as a nice walk with five things to try rather than five sessions. Plaza Villa de Madrid and Plaza de Sant Miquel are both within 250 m of the line if you want two more.
Mid-afternoon: Born to Ciutadella, 1.5 km
Head north out of the old streets. Five hundred metres from El Born 6 Stair to Arc de Triomf on Passeig de Lluís Companys, 42 photos, wide open and easy to session for as long as you like.
Then 670 m south down the far side of Parc de la Ciutadella to Ledgeland on Passeig de Circumval·lació, one of only nine spots in Barcelona filed as a park. The zoo manual pad is a two-minute roll off this stretch.
From Ledgeland it is 340 m to Barceloneta Banks, with Barceloneta Metro Station at Pla de Palau on the way.
Late afternoon: the waterfront, 1.4 km
This is the one leg where the route doubles back, and it is worth it. Ateneu Barcelona is 520 m southeast on Passeig de Salvat Papasseit and carries 65 photos, the best-documented spot on the whole second half of the day. Then you walk 540 m back west to Museu d'Historia Bank at Plaça de Pau Vila, 32 photos.
After that it stays linear: 310 m to Plaza de l'Ictineo, 230 m to Ronda Litoral, 62 photos, right against the coastal road.
Optional detour: the Barceloneta peninsula runs south from Ateneu: 1.3 km to Slappy Barceloneta, 1.6 km to the W Hotel, which has 20 photos. It is a dead end; you come back the way you went. Do it only if you are ahead of schedule, or skip it and swim instead.
Evening: Paral·lel, 900 m
Walk the port. Eight hundred and sixty metres west from Ronda Litoral gets you to Paral•lel, 100 photos, the third of the three spots in Barcelona that max out the counter. It is lit, it is central, and it is a sensible place to end up with sore feet.
If you still have legs, Short ledge and Double drop are both on the same avenue within 350 m. Rambla de Mar and the World Trade Center sit out on the port mole, both roughly 500 m off the line, the last honest detour of the day.
What this route skips
Most of Barcelona, frankly. The day above covers the flat old-city core because that is what walks well. It leaves out four separate areas that each deserve their own day:
The Besòs end, 5.5 km northeast of Macba. That is where Besos Waves sits with 98 photos, and Forum Banks with 36. Take the metro; do not try to walk it.
Nou Barris and the northern hills. Via Favencia Ledges has 38 photos, Passeig de la Peira 36, Mont-Ral Drops 28, Canyelles 26. Genuinely good, genuinely uphill, and 7 km north of Macba.
Montjuïc. Mercat de las Flores has 46 photos and Montjuic Hubba 22, but they are up the hill behind Paral·lel. Adding them turns a walking day into a climbing one.
Mid-city Sant Martí, including Torre Glories, U Curbs and picnic_diy, the only DIY in our Barcelona data. Also Zona Universitaria, 25 photos, out west past the Diagonal.
One last caveat: 211 of the 254 Barcelona spots we have mapped are street spots, and none of them are indoor. If it rains, this route has no fallback in it. That is a gap in the data as much as in the city.
